How to Participate in Our Consortium: A Step-by-Step Guide

Published on March 28, 2025

Thank you for supporting new music through the New Works Project. Whether you are a musician, educator, student, or simply passionate about the future of music, there are several ways you can join us and help bring new works to life.

Donate Directly

The most straightforward way to support is through a direct donation. Every contribution helps us commission new music, support composers, and provide resources to performers. As a direct donor, your name will be listed as a contributor in the final score, acknowledging your role in making the project possible. Direct donations do not include copies of the commissioned music or other participant rewards, but your generosity directly supports the creation and distribution of new works.

Register as a Consortium Participant

Consortium participants are the heart of our projects. By registering, you become a collaborator, helping shape and premiere new music while receiving exclusive access and rewards.

To join as a consortium participant:

  1. Complete the Participant Agreement. This confirms your commitment to the project.

  2. Register your group if you are performing as a quartet, ensemble, or chamber group.

  3. Choose a payment option that works for you. You can pay in full, split your contribution into installments, or opt to fundraise your spot. If you plan to fundraise or make payments later, enter your goal amount and select “Commit and Pay Later.” This option requires you to have a registered account on our website.

Consortium participants are eligible for several rewards based on their contribution level:

  • Contributions between $5 and $74 include your name listed in the final score.

  • Contributions between $75 and $100 include your name in the score and a digital copy of the commissioned piece.

  • Contributions between $101 and $150 include your name in the score and a professionally printed physical copy of the commissioned piece.

All participants contributing $75 or more will also receive exclusive performance rights for 12 months after the piece is fully funded and delivered. This means you and your ensemble will have one full year to present the work before it is available to the general public.

Share the Project

Spreading the word is one of the most impactful ways to support the project. Share the project on social media, tell your friends and colleagues, or mention it in your studio or classroom. Every share helps us reach more musicians, expand our community, and ensure that new works find their way into rehearsal rooms and concert halls.

Thank you for being part of the New Works Project community. Your support brings new music to life and helps us create opportunities for composers, performers, and audiences everywhere.
